Add Your Feed to Podcast Apps

Submit your RSS feed to podcast directories so listeners can find and subscribe to your show. Start with Apple Podcasts — most other apps pull from Apple's directory automatically.

1

Apple Podcasts

Apple Podcasts is the most important directory — Overcast, Castro, and many other apps pull from Apple's index automatically.

  1. Sign in to Apple Podcasts for Creators with your Apple ID.
  2. Click the + button, then select New Show.
  3. Paste your RSS feed URL and click Add.
  4. Apple validates your feed (usually within a few hours). Your show appears in the directory once approved.
Your feed needs at least one published episode, artwork (1400x1400 minimum), and a valid owner email.
2

Spotify

Spotify requires separate submission — it doesn't pull from Apple's directory.

  1. Sign in to Spotify for Creators with any Spotify account (free works).
  2. Click Get Started, then choose "I have a podcast with an RSS feed".
  3. Paste your RSS feed URL.
  4. Spotify sends a verification code to the email in your feed's owner tag. Enter the code to confirm ownership.
The verification email goes to the address in your feed. Podcasty FM uses podcasts@podcasty.fm by default — email contact@podcasty.fm if you need to update this before submitting.
3

Pocket Casts

Pocket Casts has the simplest submission — no account required.

  1. Go to pocketcasts.com/submit.
  2. Paste your RSS feed URL and click Submit.
Takes up to 12 hours to appear in search.

Other Apps

Most other podcast apps (Overcast, Castro, Podcast Addict, etc.) pull directly from the Apple Podcasts directory. Once your show is live on Apple Podcasts, it typically appears in these apps within 1–2 days automatically.

If you need to add your feed to an app manually, look for an "Add by URL" or "Add RSS feed" option in the app's search or settings.
